The Teens Have the Tools (THTT) component of Healthy Futures of Texas’ education program provides science-based Abstinence-Plus programs to San Antonio youth ages 12-18 in schools and community agencies.
- Healthy Futures promotes abstinence as teens’ healthiest choice, as well as promoting use of contraception for sexually active teens.
- THTT uses evidence-based programs whenever possible — and science-based approaches always!
- THTT tailors the choice of curriculum to the needs of the youth and the community.
As in all Healthy Futures’ programs, THTT uses an “Asset-Building” approach. Building the 40 Developmental Assets for youth makes any program more effective.
