Healthy Futures’ current projects include:
The Healthy Futures Alliance, a diverse community coaltion working together to prevent teen and unplanned pregnancy in San Antonio. HFA has grown to over 200 members including community leaders, service providers, medical professionals, and community members. With both “pro-choice” and “pro-life” members, HFA is making its voice heard in San Antonio and at the Capitol in Austin.
Big Decisions, an Abstinence-Plus sex education curriculum authored by Healthy Futures’ founder, Dr. Janet Realini. This easy-to-use curriculum is approved and used in 17 Texas school districts, and is available .
Parents Have the Power/Teens Have the Tools is the newest project of Healthy Futures of Texas. This project provides Abstinence-Plus sexuality education for parents, teens, and young adults.
ME NOW…baby later
Is an exciting new campaign developed by the Healthy Futures Alliance and offered in collaboration with Project WORTH and Metro Health. ME NOW encourages teens to pursue their goals and postpone parenthood until later.
The campaign features a positive take on education, dreaming for the future, and having fun. ME NOW…baby later promotes both the “Why” and the “How” of waiting to be a parent.

R U READY TO BE A PARENT? is a new campaign to reach young adults ages 18‐29—both women and men—to help reduce unplanned pregnancy and to highlight the importance of planning and preparing for pregnancy.
